The brief
Miners Lamp Cottage is a cosy holiday let situated in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The aim was to create a stunning new brand and website that reflected the rustic & welcoming experience offered to their guests. Alongside this, the website would give the client the opportunity to reduce fees through direct bookings.
The branding & design direction
Given the properties history and style of interior, our approach was to apply a colour palette and font that imitated the space and feel. With the holiday let owner taking a welcoming & friendly approach with its guests, this had to be reflected in the tone of voice.
The conclusion
We are now providing social media marketing services to drive traffic to the website site which will enable the client to reduce their fees through direct bookings. In the space of 2 months we've taken their social media from 0 to 2,200 followers across Instagram & Facebook.
Key features
With a lot of guests of an older demographic, it was vital that the website was easy to navigate with the intent of driving more bookings. We used infographics to provide clarity on the key amenities in the property, drawing on customer feedback to determine the key selling points. We seamlessly integrated testimonials throughout the website to reinforce the provided information. For instance, in the location section, we included a testimonial highlighting the cottage as an ideal spot to experience the wonders of the North Yorkshire Moors and coastline attractions.
